Spring 2011 Update
After graduation a few men from the class enlisted in the Marine Corps. My career as a infantry officer was short lived — a damaged knee that could not be repaired derailed the enlistment. My career with John Deere lasted much longer — 31 years. My wife Barbara (Baylor ‘62) have been married for 47 great years that has given us three adult children and ten grand kids. All of my working days were spread over eleven moves within the states. I did work overseas, but was able to live in either Portland, Syracuse or Moline, IL. The last responsibilty was as Director, Marketing Administration, North America.
The education process after leaving Chestertown included three months at both Harvard and Stanford, then later on a Masters Degree from Purdue
During my time at Washington College I was a below average Lacrosse player, so now we both enjoy watching four grandchildren play the game and one of them playing football.
I will truly enjoy spending the weekend trying to put names and faces together. For lots of bad reasons, There has been no contact with any class mates or trips back to Chestertown since leaving in the spring of 61’.” We now split the year between Denver and a summer cabin in Wisconsin.
