Alan Simkins, D.M.D.
After graduating from Washington College I received my D.M.D. from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1964. I then served in the Navy Dental Corps for 2 years, traveling extensively to exotic countries in the Far East . I opened my own dental office in Chadds Ford, PA in 1966, while completing a 5 year National Institute of Health research grant at Temple. Five years later I sold my office and joined a group practice in Wilmington, DE, where I also joined the staff of the Dental Departments at Christiana Hospital and St. Francis Hospital. In 1998 I opened a state of the art dental office and was selected into the American College of Dentists and Who’s Who in America. In 2008 my partner bought me out and so I am semi-retired, working only 2 mornings a week and having none of the stress and responsibilities of ownership.
