After graduation, I began working for the Federal Government, but left to work for the private sector. After getting a Master of Library and Information Science (MSLS) at the University of Maryland, I worked for the Federal Government contractor before returning to the Department of Defense as a library director. I then moved to a Defense agency to manage an interagency foreign information services and translation program, from which I retired. I met my husband Mike, a retired Army lieutenant colonel, right after I retired and we were married a year later. We moved back to my hometown of Annapolis in 2001 into an active retirement community, where I became active in the chorus, the tennis group, and recently the drama club (musicals only). Mike and I also volunteer at the MD State Archives where we work for the Director of Special Collections.
