Stephen Golding ’72
Stephen T. Golding ’72 is the Vice President for Finance and Administration at Ohio University.
Prior to that, Golding served as Cornell University’s Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration (2005-2010), the Vice President for Budget and Finance at the University of Colorado (2003-2005), and the Vice President for Finance and Budget Director for the University of Pennsylvania (1991-1997).
Golding received his master’s in political science from the University of Delaware in 1983. From 1997-2003, Stevhe was an executive director with Morgan Stanley Investment Management, working with eleemosynary clients. Prior to his higher education tenure, he served in Delaware state government – first as Director of Administration for the Department of Transportation (1981-1982), then as State Budget Director (1983-1986), and finally as Secretary of Finance (1986-1991).
Golding serves on the Wells Fargo Alternate Strategies, Inc., Registered Funds Platform Board of Directors, the Board of Wells College, and is an advisor to several regionally based investment management firms focused on university based technology start-up companies in the northeast.
He and his wife, Cally, reside in Athens, Ohio. They have two children, Christopher and Gayle. He was first elected as an alumni member of the Washington College Board in 2003.
