Office Hours & Lab Volunteer Opportunities
The Public Archaeology Lab, located on the ground floor of the historic Custom House, at the foot of High Street, provides a space for students and volunteers to process artifact collections and work on other historic materials from the region. Opportunities exist to learn lab procedures such as cleaning, sorting, coding and cataloging artifacts; conducting historical research; and analyzing recovered material. The lab maintains flexible hours of operation. Call, or send an e-mail, to make arrangements for volunteering or for a lab tour.
