Associate CIO, IT Infrastructure and Network
Cal Coursey is the Interim Chief Information Officer for Washington College. To support the strategic and academic missions of the College he, along with the staff members who work with him, is responsible for the computer network, the telephone system, the college’s administrative system that keeps all of the personnel, student and financial records, for purchasing all of the college’s technology requirements, as well as for mail, package, and printing services.
Cal grew up on Kent Island, Maryland. He served in the U.S. Army for four years in Africa and in Vietnam. After completing his military service he used the GI Bill to pay for college – graduating with an electronic engineering degree.
Cal has worked for the Federal government, a Canadian engineering company, was an officer in the US Merchant Marine for twenty years, and for the past fourteen years has worked to constantly improve Information Technology services and systems at Washington College.
