I am so glad that you have included Washington College in your search!
Why Washington College?
Washington College is a small liberal arts college located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Founded in 1782, Washington College is one of the oldest liberal arts institutions in the country. WC has a long history of excellence in academics and a strong root in the local community.
The community of WC consists of approximately 1,450 undergraduates who have developed a strong sense of community within the college. Students of WC have the opportunity to get involved in a wide variety of student activities and organizations. Having a large selection of activities allows for every student to find their niche that they desire.
As a Clinical/Counseling Psychology major, I was able to present my senior thesis at the Eastern Psychological Association (EPA) annual conference, which was a great experience to display my work and meet with other presenters from other colleges and universities. In addition, I was able to have an internship at the Radcliffe Creek School, which is a school that specializes in education for students with documented learning disabilities. This allowed me to observe and develop some hands-on skills that would be beneficial for working with this population of students. I was also inducted into the National Honor Society of Psychology (Psi Chi). Being part of Psi Chi allowed me to converse with other psychology majors and professors about the general field of psychology and about our individual program as a whole.
If you would like to set up a visit to campus or have any questions please feel free to call or send me an email. I wish you the best of luck in your college search and I hope to hear from you soon!
