Kevin Coveney joined the Washington College community as Director of Admissions in July, 1983. Kevin began his admissions career in 1972 at St. Francis College in Maine and has served as the Director of Admissions at three institutions (St. Francis, Castleton State College in Vermont, and Southampton College in New York). He graduated from St. Michael’s College in Vermont with a B.A. degree in History in 1971 and received a M.S. degree in Education from Long Island University in 1981. In 1992, Kevin’s responsibilities were expanded to include oversight of the student financial aid office; he was named Vice President for Admissions & Enrollment Management in 1996. In his twenty years at WC, Kevin has reviewed more than 27,000 freshman applications and admitted almost 40% of the College’s 8,500 living graduates.
