I was born and raised in Lancaster, PA, one of four boys. I played soccer, tennis and baseball growing up, enjoyed hiking, camping, skiing, and auto mechanics, and was an Eagle Scout. I received my Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Delaware in 1972. I worked for Colgate-Palmolive Co. my whole career, in positions of process engineering, new product development, project management, and organization design, located in North-Central New Jersey or New York City except for 8 years in Liege, Belgium.
Jayne and I have been married 43 years, and we’ve lived in Chestertown since I retired from Colgate in 2011. We live in the Chester River Landing community, and for almost two years now we’ve owned the Twigs and Teacups gift shop. We have two children, Matthew and Erin, and two grandsons, ages 5 and 8. We enjoy biking, kayaking, boating, the Orioles, travel, and spending time with family. I’m a Rotarian, and have served as President of the Chestertown Club the past two years. I also enjoy genealogy and fishing.
He was elected a member of the Council in May 2016.
