Palladium-catalyzed Reactions
August 01, 2011
The 2011 undergraduate students in Dr. Amick’s laboratory are designing new palladium-catalyzed reactions for organic synthesis.
Their motto: “We design organic reactions that are relatively bench-top stable, relatively inexpensive, and are easy to perform.” The new reactions they design will be employed to synthesize large flat and bowl-shaped molecules, which can be used in nanotechnology, organic electronics, and organic photovoltaics (solar cells).
