ATTENTION ALL EMPLOYEES INSURED WITH UNITED HEALTHCARE
Beginning April 1, 2013 administration of your pharmacy benefit services through UnitedHealthcare will transition to OptumRx TM, a UnitedHealth Group company. This change will help us better serve you and improve your overall experience.
What does this mean for you?
Prior to April 1, 2013, you’ll get a new health insurance ID card in the mail with OptumRx information on it. Your new ID card is effective as of April 1, 2013. Please keep and use your current card until that date.
If your address has changed and it has not been corrected
with UnitedHealthcare, you need to complete the
Change of Address form on the HR web page and
forward to HR so we can make sure your address is correct
prior to new insurance cards being mailed out prior to April 1, 2013.
Employees cannot change their address directly with UnitedHealthcare.
Only the Benefits Administrator with your plan can make address changes.
What happens to my mail service prescription(s)?
Most mail service prescriptions with remaining refills will automatically transfer. Prescriptions for certain medications like control substances will not transfer and also expired prescriptions or those with no more refills will require a new prescription.
OptumRx will contact you when it’s time to process your refill order. You can expect to receive a communication from UnitedHealthcare with a Frequently Asked Questions document approximately 35 days prior to transition to OptumRX.
Upon reviewing the materials that will be sent by UnitedHealthcare, if you still have questions, you may also call the member phone number listed on the back of your ID card.
