Washington College is required, by the IRS, to furnish all employees with a form W-2 for each calendar year.  Form W-2 details compensation, tax withholdings and required disclosures for the year.  Complete instructions for Form W-2 are available on the IRS Web site athttp://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/iw2w3.pdf.

Benefits of Receiving Your Form W-2 Electronically:

-Online delivery will provide access to the W-2 statement earlier than the traditional paper process.

-Online delivery eliminates the chance your W-2 statement will get lost, misdirected or delayed during delivery or misplaced after you receive                           it.

-Access is available on the same secure Web site you access and print direct deposit information.

-You will have access to your W-2 statements at any time of day and on weekends.

-You can print multiple copies at your convenience.

-Employees are contributing to cost savings (forms, printing and postage expense).

-W-2 statements will remain online for multiple years.

Federal regulations require that employees provide their consent to receive the W-2 in an electronic format. This consent to receive your W-2 in an electronic format continues from year to year and does not need to be repeated.

The process for requesting the electronic version is quick and easy.  Just follow these steps:

·        From the Washington College web page under Logins

·       Click on Faculty Staff

·       Click on Web Advisor

Once the W-2’s are processed, current employees who provided their consent will be able to view and print their earning statements immediately.  An email notification will be sent to employees when

W-2’s are available on Web Advisor.  Employees that may not have access to a computer but want to consent to receive their W-2 statement electronically are able to use computers in several areas on campus including Human Resources, the Payroll Office and the Library.
