On Friday afternoon, members of the Washington College scientific community gathered to welcome new members into Sigma Xi, an international, multidisciplinary scientific research honor society. The induction was led by outgoing president, Dr. Mindy Reynolds.
Washington College installed the Gamma Eta chapter of Gamma Sigma Epsilon, the National Honor Society in Chemistry, with an installation and induction ceremony in Litrenta Lecture Hall.
Students from the Departments of Biology and Psychology attended the 23rd Annual Saint Joseph’s University Sigma Xi Student Research Symposium. This symposium was open to both undergraduate and graduate students engaged in research in the areas of Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, the Natural and the Social Sciences.
