Punta San Juan, Day 2
Students spent a second day in the area studying bird behavior.

The Chesapeake Semester team rose early before sunrise to get a closer look at the guano birds from the research blinds that dot the edge of the reserve as they start their morning flight to feed. These nests are carved out of the guano. The nests can be as close together as 3 per square meter.
