Washington College alumna Jacqueline Vansant ’76 gave the presentation “Making Connections over Space and Time: The Extraordinary Group Correspondence of Jewish-Austrian Schoolboys,” in an event sponsored by the Department of Modern Languages; the Institute for the Study of Religion, Politics, and Culture; the Office of Multicultural Affairs; and Hillel House. -
Princeton professor and Judaic scholar Elisha Russ-Fishbane explored “Jewish Approaches to Islam: Historical and Modern Reflections” in a talk sponsored by the William James Forum, the Department of Philosophy and Religion, and the Institute for Religion, Politics and Culture. Members of Hillel joined Elisha for a dinner prior jointly sponsored by Hillel and the Institute.
