Ruthie from MTV’s Real World: Hawaii spoke as part of the Office of Student Activities Food For Thought series designed to promote the use of dialogue on a variety of topics.
Students and staff traveled down the Eastern Shore to Belle Haven, Virginia over Fall Break to help build a home with Habitat for Humanity. Habitaters camped at a local church and spent three days putting up drywall, mudding the walls, constructing a shed, and doing some landscaping. Homeowner Danielle Harmon should be able to move in by December!
Students gathered on Hodson Green for an afternoon Fall Festival with events such as pumpkin chunkin, pumpkin painting, corn hole, and bobbing for apples. Various clubs were represented with booths and the Kent County Humane Society brought kittens to ease students’ stress.
The Washington College community recalls its friendship with the late actor Larry Hagman, an honorary alumnus whose family has strong ties to the campus.
