The best part of being at Ramapo was the hands on experience. I had learned a lot about interventions for autistic clients and the symptoms they may present with, but getting to actually work with children on the autism spectrum was so valuable. The supervisors allowed us to try things on our own before intervening, and then took the time to explain what we could have done better or what we excelled at. The kids were all amazing to work with and my co-counselors made the environment so welcoming. It was all around an amazing experience.
