Named for the 1959 Miles Davis classic from Kind of Blue, “All Blues” is a new work by the distinguished playwright Robert Earl Price based on the story of a white newspaper reporter who traveled through the South in 1948 as a black man. The production is a collaboration between the Washington College Department of Drama and the Atlanta, Ga. theater company 7 Stages.
Washington College hosted The Black Jew Dialogues in Gibson’s Decker Theater. Larry Jay Tish and Ron Jones performed numerous comedic skits regarding stereotypes and racism. In an effort to shed light on some difficult issues, the event concluded with a discussion that engaged the audience in a frank talk about prejudice and how we can all help to eliminate it.
