The 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington

Date: 9:00am EDT August 28, 2013

Please join us in commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington on August 28, 2013 from 9am-3:30 PM in the Goose Nest located in Hodson Hall Commons.  The Goose Nest will be showing live coverage of the events occurring in our nation’s capitol.

In the Goose Nest, the campus community will be able to reflect on the “I Have A Dream” speech delivered to over 200,000 people on August 28, 1963 by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. In keeping with Dr. King message of service to the community, the program will provide the campus with a number of service opportunities to participate in through out the school year.  There will be an opportunity for members of the community to share their thoughts on how they will continue to give back to the community.
