Rabbi Cardin, Chair of the Chesapeake Covenant Communion, will come to Washington College to speak about our responsibility to the Earth from a faith perspective. She is also the Director of the Baltimore Jewish Environmental Network, and uses her affiliation with these groups to promote sustainability and earth stewardship. Rabbi Cardin is a familiar face on Washington College campus. Her 2009 lecture “Jewish Perspectives on the Environment” brought students, faculty, staff, and community members to a greater understanding of Judaism and the environmental movement.
We are pleased to invite Rabbi Cardin back to Washington College as a part of Earth Week 2013. Earth Week is designed to promote sustainability and responsible use of the natural environment through lectures and events. The Center for Environment and Society is proud to sponsor Rabbi Cardin and all of the events related to Earth Week 2013.
