“Women’s Empowerment: Leadership in the 21st Century”, lecture by A’Lelia Bundles
A’Lelia Bundles is an author and journalist from Washington, DC. She is known for her research on her great grandmother, A’Lelia Walker (Madam C.J. Walker), who was the first female entrepreneur in American history. Madam C.J. Walker is credited for creating a successful beauty and hair product line for African-American women. Ms. Bundles is the author of two books. She is currently working on her third book, Joy Goddess of Harlem: The Life and Times of A’Lelia Walker. Ms. Bundles also enjoys speaking and writing on the topics of women’s empowerment, leadership, and women in the media.
