New Form: Volunteer Authorization

Departments that would like to use volunteers should complete the Volunteer Authorization Form. This form should be completed for outside volunteers and volunteers who are currently employed at Washington College in another department. 

Volunteers must then complete the Volunteer Authorization for Background Check form and pass the criminal background check prior to being able to volunteer on campus. Note: Incomplete authorizations will be returned to the Hiring Official. Once a volunteer has passed the criminal background check, the Office of Human Resources will contact the Hiring Official.

 

Volunteer On-Boarding Process

1. Hiring Official completes the Volunteer Authorization

2. Volunteer completes the Authorization for Background Check and criminal Background Check is processed. 

3.  Once a volunteer has passed the criminal background check, the Office of Human Resources will contact the Hiring Official. The Office of Human Resources will issue a volunteer letter.

4. Volunteer completes the Volunteer Confidentiality Agreement

5. Volunteer completes the Volunteer Information Sheet

6. Volunteer is issued Volunteer ID# and ID Card
