Visiting Artist Endowment

Established in 2001 by Edward E. Maxcy, a co-founder of The Washington College Friends of the Arts.

The Visiting Artist Endowment provides support for the Department of Theatre & Dance to bring to campus a guest actor, director, stage manager, set designer, or other gifted theatre professional. The visiting artist will provide instruction and/or performances and will interact with the students and faculty to enhance the quality of the theatre program at the College.

Starting with the 2011-2012 academic year, the Visiting Artist Endowment has provided all three arts departments the opportunity to bring guest artists to campus to work with students. As the Endowment grows, this will continue to be an annual goal.  For information on contributing to the fund, please contact Michele Volansky (mvolansky2@washcoll.edu), Chair, Department of Theatre & Dance.
