Join us for the 2nd annual Eastern Shore Guitar Festival and Workshop, taking place October 23-25, 2015. This three-day event is open to guitarists and musicians of all ages, levels and backgrounds. Celebrated guitarists from around the globe will visit Washington College to give master classes, clinics, lectures and concerts that are sure to impress.
World-renowned guitarist and composer, Benjamin Verdery, will headline the festival, and will be joined by distinguished artists from across the United States. As a special treat, Ben will perform his own composition “Ellis Island,” with a guitar orchestra made up of festival attendees. Our event promises to put more guitarists on stage than ever before seen in Chestertown (hopefully surpassing the 63 guitarists we featured last year with the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet).
Festival passes are $50, which includes admission to all concerts and classes. Early Bird Registration discounts and benefits are currently active! Check our Ticket Information page for more details. Please read further to see why we believe this event will be among the highlights of the 2015 concert season!
The Eastern Guitar Shore Guitar Festival and Workshop is dedicated to providing attendees with a fun and relaxed educational experience. We will host a wide variety of clinics and lectures on composing for the guitar, guitar construction, jazz guitar workshops, and injury prevention classes for musicians. In addition, Benjamin Verdery will conduct a master class open to the public.
Making great music is the focus of our festival, which is why we have invited a wonderful and diverse lineup of soloists and groups to perform in Chestertown. Visit our artist page to see our lineup of distinguished musicians.
A unique feature of our event is our collaboration with Benjamin Verdery, which will give festival attendees the unique experience of rehearsing and performing onstage with one of the top guitarists in the industry. Learn how you can participate in this exciting opportunity!
