Welcome to the Eastern Shore Guitar Festival and Workshop, taking place October 24-26, 2014. This three-day event is open to guitarists and musicians of all ages, levels and backgrounds. Celebrated guitarists from around the globe will visit Washington College to give master classes, clinics, lectures and concerts that are sure to impress.
The Grammy Award-winning Los Angeles Guitar Quartet (LAGQ) will headline the festival, and will be joined by distinguished artists from across the United States, Croatia, Dominican Republic, and Brazil. As a special treat, LAGQ will perform Shingo Fujii’s “Shiki: Season’s of Japan,” with a guitar orchestra made up of festival attendees. Our event promises to put more guitarists on stage than ever before seen in Chestertown!
Festival passes are $50, which includes admission to all concerts and classes. Please read further to see why we believe this event will be among the highlights of the 2014 concert season!
The Eastern Guitar Shore Guitar Festival and Workshop is dedicated to providing attendees with a fun and relaxed educational experience. We will host a wide variety of clinics and lectures on composing for the guitar, guitar construction, jazz guitar workshops, and even yoga for musicians. In addition, the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet will conduct a master class open to the public.
Making great music is the focus of our festival, which is why we have invited a wonderful and diverse lineup of soloists and groups to perform in Chestertown. Visit our artist page to see our lineup of distinguished musicians.
A unique feature of our event is our collaboration with the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, which will give festival attendees the unique experience of rehearsing and performing onstage with one of the top guitar ensembles in the industry. Learn how you can participate in this exciting opportunity!
