Richard Kearney, who holds the Charles B. Seelig Chair of Philosophy at Boston College, is the author of more than twenty books on European philosophy and literature.
A member of the Royal Irish Academy, he was formerly a member of the Arts Council of Ireland and chairman of the Irish School of Film at University College Dublin. As a public intellectual in Ireland, he was involved in drafting a number of proposals for a Northern Irish peace agreement. He is currently international director of the Guestbook Project�Hosting the Stranger: Between Hostility and Hospitality. His recent books include Debates in Continental Philosophy, The Owl of Minerva, Navigations, and Anatheism.
