Press Release: Celebrated European Author's First-Ever U.S. Book Tour Comes to Washington College
Alexis Stamatis, a highly celebrated Greek writer, is the author of six books of poetry and seven novels. The most well known of these novels, Bar Flaubert, was a national best-seller in Greece, made into a screenplay, and published in Russia, France, Italy, Spain, Serbia, and Bangladesh. For his second book of poetry, The Architecture of Interior Spaces, Stamatis received the Nikiforos Vrettakos Prize (1994). Stamatis will be promoting his newest novel, American Fugue, across the United States over the next two months.
