The Constance Stuart Larrabee Scholarship for the Arts

We are pleased to announce a scholarship opportunity for students entering Washington College in the Fall of 2014.

Students who have proven talent in art, music, or drama, but not necessarily intend to major in the arts, are encouraged to submit a portfolio of work to compete for the Constance Stuart Larrabee Scholarship.

A total of six (6) $1,500 awards will be made, and two (2) students from each area will be awarded a $1,500 annual scholarship.  The scholarship is renewable each year for four years provided the recipient maintains a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0. Recipients do not have to declare a major in the Arts.

The submission deadline is March 31. Winners will be announced by April 14.

For Drama consideration, please submit:

Either an essay that answers the question, “Based on your experience of watching and participating in theater, how would you describe your theatrical aesthetic at this point in your artistic life?” or a design portfolio that highlights your interests and skills.  Applicants should not submit scripts or videos.  Send your work to: larrabee_scholarship@washcoll.edu

Constance Stuart Larrabee Drama Scholars are expected to actively participate in the co-curricular opportunities offered by the Department of Drama.
