The requirements for the major in Art and Art History are as follows:
-Art 200: Introduction to the History of Western Art
-Art 251: Introduction to Visual and Critical Thinking
-6 additional classes, of which 3 must be 300-level or 400-level courses in art history,
-The Junior Seminar in Methods for Art History Concentration, or the Junior Seminar: Contemporary Practices and Senior Studio Seminar for Studio Concentration.
-The successful completion of the Senior Capstone Experience (SCE)
The Senior Capstone Experiencein Art and Art History is intended to be the culmination of one’s work in the Department.
