Interdisciplinary Major

American Studies

Consider the very idea of what America means, and what it might be.

You have the lead role in the drama production, you formed your own rock band, and you have a starting spot on the basketball team. Your interests range from entertainment, to sports, to fine arts, to finance. How can you possibly choose just one major?

With American Studies, you don’t have to. An interdisciplinary major, American Studies allows you to mix and match courses in history, English, art, political science, and even economics.

If you don’t know what you want to do after college, or if you need a major to prepare you for your career as a writer-professor-actor-musician, American Studies will give you a background in a wide range of disciplines, as well as the skills to help you accomplish your diverse goals.
