Dance Club

About Us

From ballet to tap, jazz to bollywood, there is something here for everyone!

The Dance Club is open to all students interested in dance as art, exercise, recreation, or performance. The Club serves to encourage the growth of dance by giving students the opportunity to study various forms of dance, attend performances by professional companies, take workshops and master classes, and provides opportunities for education through student performances and creating an outlet for creative expression

Weekly technique classes provide students with the opportunity to learn choreography under the leadership of a fellow student, rehearse those dances with their peers in weekly classes, and then perform their pieces in a series of recitals in the spring!

Activities from the 2011-2012 academic year included the Dance-on-Film series, attending the 39th State Dance Festival, performing at the Music Department’s Annual Renaissance Dinner, and presenting a spring dance concert.

The Dance Club is open to all students, regardless of past experience!

Students who wish to join the Dance Club and perform in the Spring Dance Concert must take at least two dance classes in the spring, including the Dance Company class.

For more information, email the club president, Zoe Woodbridge, or the club’s advisor, Karen Smith
