Q & A
Hometown? Manheim, PA
High School? Manheim Central High School
Favorite C-town Eats/Place? For food, I love the Lemon Leaf Cafe. It's cash only, but the food is always amazing, especially the breakfast! But there are so many other places with delicious food, too! Make sure you try all of them while your at school! If I'm not looking for food, the waterfront is a beautiful place to hang out!
Mistake made your 1st year? I stayed in my room whenever I had free time during orientation. Big mistake! Get out, explore campus, explore town, and make some friends!
Dance Move? The shimmy. It's my signature move.
Which Disney character would you be? Timon! "Hakuna Matata, it means no worries!"
Favorite '90s jam? Anything by Backstreet Boys. Who didn't love them in the '90s!? I saw them live in Hershey as my first concert ever. It was awesome.
Favorite Class at WC? Believe it or not, my favorite class during my freshman year was my English 101. Yes, it was a lot of writing, but the professor made discussions interesting and I had fun writing about a wide array of subjects.
Recommended Professor? Professor Volansky. She was my English 101 professor. Her discussions in class were fun and interesting. She also met with each person in the class twice throughout the semester to talk about our writing and how we can have more success. She's just an awesome person! Also, if you are a business major like me, you will be taking a few economics classes at some point. Try to get Professor Scott. He is hilarious and you will have a lot of fun listening to his lectures.
Most Memorable Experience as a First-Year Student? Getting involved! Joining a lot of clubs, a varsity sport, and Greek life allowed me to have many highlights from my freshman year. One of my favorites was helping the rowing team to our first conference championship in the 2nd varsity boat!
If I Could be an Animal, I Would Be? This is tough, I would have to say a Raven for a few reasons. Number one, they are the smartest birds. Two, I do a pretty good imitation of a Raven call. Three, they are AWESOME. 2010-2011 NFL Playoffs? I think so!
One Thing You Shouldn't Forget To Pack? This probably sounds stupid, but make sure you bring a belt! I forgot mine so for the first day I had to keep pulling my shorts up as I walked around for orientation! I made sure I got to Roses quickly the next day. It's the little things that are easy to forget!
