Winter 2009

Courtney Ackerman and Sarah Kuhlmann, best friends from their college years, graduated from St. George's University School of Medicine in May 2009. Sarah is in her emergency medicine residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in New Jersey. Courtney is completing her internal medicine residency at Christiana Hospital in Delaware.

Michael Barron wrote a novel and will soon publicly perform a story about a job interview that went horribly wrong.

Zachary Bennett placed his first essay in a peer-reviewed journal. "Nietzsche, Nihilism, and the Dark Wave: The Decline and Fall of American Gothic Ethics,' a revised chapter of his baccalaureate honors thesis, has been published by Studies of the Fantastic, Issue 2, available from the University of Tampa Press.

Michael Hardesty joined the Washington College staff as the program manager for the College's new Chesapeake Semester.

John Hefner reports, "I've been touring the Fringe Festival theatre circuit in towns like Orlando, Indianapolis, N.Y.C., Winnipeg and Vancouver, performing my autobiographical one-man-show, The Hefner Monologues. More info at www.theHEFNER.com."

Michael Ridgaway is living in Baltimore, MD, with his girlfriend, Evangeline Rich, two cats and a beagle.
