Class of 2003
Wayles Wilson

A business management and international studies major, Wayles Wilson studied at Leiden University in the Netherlands and the London School of Economics.
After graduation, Wayles worked in International Sales and Marketing at LaMotte Company, here in Chestertown. She then moved to Philadelphia to pursue an internship in advertising, while managing a restaurant in Old City (Fork Restaurant). Wayles then took her career to the University of Pennsylvania, where she worked in Development and Alumni Relations—first with the Parents Program and then later with the Alumni Council on Admissions. While working at Penn, Wayles received her Master's degree from Penn's Fels Institute of Government with a focus on education non-profit management.
In 2010, Wayles began working for The New Teacher Project, a non-profit organization whose mission is to end the injustice of educational inequality by providing excellent teachers to the students who need them most and by advancing policies and practices that ensure effective teaching in every classroom. Wayles is currently the Site Manager for the Philadelphia Teaching Fellows, which recruits high achieving individuals to teaching through an alternate route certification program for public schools in Philadelphia.
Wayles has been involved with the Philadelphia Alumni Chapter since she moved to Philadelphia in 2005. She is the current co-Chair, and encourages any local alumni to come to their next event. To learn more, visit PhillyAlumni.washcoll.edu or facebook.com/wcphl.
