The Literary House Press
As the publishing arm of The Rose O’Neill Literary House, the Literary House Press strives to connect Washington College with the larger literary world. Every other year, the Literary House Press publishes one book by a writer of national reputation who has ties to the state of Maryland. Our books are printed in limited editions, using a combination of new technologies and letterpress.
Manuscripts are read by invitation only.
LITERARY HOUSE PRESS INTERNSHIP
This is a non-credit-bearing, paid internship that runs during the spring semester. The Press Intern assists with sales and marketing, as well as with special printing projects. During the annual AWP Conference, the Press Intern acts as one of the public faces of The Rose O’Neill Literary House, educating conference-goers on our tradition of fine letterpress pieces and attending panels and readings. For more information on this internship, please visit our Work-Study and Internships page.
UPCOMING PROJECTS

As part of a collaboration with Plougshares, the nationally recognized and prize-winning literary journal, the Literary House Press will publish a special letterpress broadside featuring poet Beth Bachmann to commemorate the 2013 AWP Conference in Boston.
