An annual part of the Fall Family Weekend, the Waterfront Festival celebrates Chestertown, Washington College, and (of course) the Chester River!
Schedule of Events:
Festival runs from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
12 p.m.- Festival starts
2:45 p.m. Captains meeting for the Cardboard Boat Race
3:00 p.m. Cardboard Boat Race
3:15 p.m. Judging and Awards ceremony
4:00 p.m. Festival closes, but is followed by the Phi Delta Theta Crab Feast (open to the public, $25 per ticket).
Ongoing Vendors and activities include:
Pit Beef, Fish fry, Kilby Cream Ice Cream, Seaworthy Small Ships model boat building, Scales and Tails, Lawn Games, Michael Butler Band, Pony Rides, Callinectes tours, free sailing and kayaking, and booths set up by environmental groups and educators.
