Geospatial Discoveries METS Guild Day Camp 2017

Washington College is hosting a Geospatial Discoveries METS Guild Day Camp for youth, ages 10 through 16, on July 24th through the 28th.

Students will learn how to visualize geographic data and begin to understand how to solve geographic problems using a systematic approach. During the 5 days, students will use outdoor exploration to collect field data, learn how to use a database, map their ideas and much more!

 

One week long (Mon - Fri) day camp

  • Drop off 8:30 am
  • Pick up: 4:30 pm
  • Early Drop off (6:30 am) and After Care (5:30) are available upon request (extra cost)
  • Activities start at 9:00 am!

Cost:

  • $250 per camper with discounted rates available
  • Full payment is due by July 7th.
  • There will be a $50.00 non-refundable camper application fee, which will be subtracted from the overall cost of camp ($250.00)
  • We do not take credit cards, only checks:

Registration:

  • Registration closes on July 7th.
  • Please note that the campers registration will not be processed until the camper application fee has been received. 
  • Limited space available! 

 

Schedule/Activities:

Sunday Camp Appreciation Day

  • Sunday, July 30th, 1:00-4:00 PM will be appreciation day for campers, their families and friends, as well as members of the Washington College community. 
  • Enjoy an outdoor get together with hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream, etc.
