Campus Visits

This may be the friendliest, quirkiest place on the planet. You just have to see it for yourself.

You’ll feel it the moment you step onto campus: people are glad to see you. They want to help you: a) find the Admissions Office; b) Check out our new athletic facility; c) introduce you to the professor who rocks the major you are considering.

During your campus visit you might sit in on a class. Meet your coach. Have a meal in the dining hall. Talk to current students about all the opportunities you’ll find at Washington College.

During the academic semester, campus visits can be requested via the online visit form. Visits can also be scheduled via phone at 410-778-7700.

Appointments are available:

Monday through Friday at 8:45, 9:45, 10:45, 1:45, and 2:45.

Student visitors will meet with one of our admissions counselors for 30 to 45 minutes; parents are invited into the conversation for the last 10 to 15 minutes of the session. The meeting is followed by a campus tour.

Most campus tours involve a student ambassador being paired with one or two families for a 45-minute walking tour of the main campus. The College’s Custom House and waterfront area are not included on the tour but are open to visitors M-F.

Open House

Fall Dates: September 28, October 19, November 16.

Open House programs run from 9:00 a.m. until around 1:30 p.m. and include an opening session, your choice of three, 30-minute morning sessions, lunch on campus, and a tour of campus with a current student.

Current students, admissions and financial aid counselors, and faculty members will be on campus ready to meet you and answer any of your questions!

Personal Preview Day

Personal Preview Days are scheduled during the fall and spring semester for current high school seniors.

A Personal Preview Day can include a full day of various campus activities. You can choose to attend a class, meet with current students, meet with a professor, meet with a coach, and more!

Saturday Visits

Offered on a limited basis, Saturday visits offer prospective students the chance to visit, meet with an admissions counselor, and tour the campus without missing a day of school. Register for these by calling 410-778-7700 or via email to wc_admissions@washcoll.edu
