Living on campus is an important part of the Washington College experience, giving you the opportunity to meet new people, experience new ideas and develop important study habits and life skills. All first and second year students are required to live on campus. Junior and Senior students in good social and academic standing may appeal to live off-campus, although the majority of our students choose to live on-campus for their entire academic career. About 85% of all undergraduate students live on-campus, helping to make our community both engaging and diverse.
Washington College provides services to all resident students, including telephone, cable, internet, maintenance, and dining. Mail services are available on campus, and more information is available at https://www.washcoll.edu/offices/central-services/
Our campus community is convenient and enjoyable; you are just steps away from classes, study and community lounges, recreation and new friends, and there is always a hot meal waiting! Information about meal plans can be found at http://www.dineoncampus.com/wc/show.cfm?cmd=residents
In order to get your housing assignment, you must be a matriculating student taking a minimum of 12 credit hours. You must also submit (if you haven’t already), your $200.00 deposit (this serves as a pre-payment on your housing bill), your housing contract, and complete your housing preference form (available in Web Advisor). Housing assignments will be available on your Web-Advisor in June. Be sure to call your roommate or roommates to get to know one another!
